Dr. Angelita Palanca-Capistrano

Dr. Capistrano obtained her medical degree from the University of SantoTomas in Manila, Philippines. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology, where she served as chief resident and a fellowship in glaucoma at Indiana University in Indianapolis. She is board certified in Ophthalmology and participates in maintenance of certification otherwise known as “MOC” which requires continues education and learning as required by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Certification is granted to ophthalmologists who meet a series of accredited medical training requirements in ophthalmology, sign a practice pledge indicating their intent to practice with compassion, integrity, and respect for human dignity, and complete an intensive evaluation process which includes two examinations: a Written Qualifying Examination (WQE) and an Oral Examination.
Dr. Capistrano clearly loves what she does and cares to share her time and talent with her patients at the highest level of care possible.  She is trained to implant ” new technology intraocular lenses and microglaucoma shunts.
