Blepharoplasty

Eyelid surgery is not just for cosmetic purposes, it is also done for functional improvement of your vision.  Oftentimes, patients complain of seeing their eyelid skin blocking their view.  They notice their eyelids feel heavy and they feel and see better when they hold up their eyelids.   Sometimes they even get headaches.  I saw “you might need an eyelid lift called  a blepharoplasty”.   Properly evaluated, most insurances would pay for this outpatient surgery.  Feel free to call and talk to use about it.

Specialty Contact Lenses

Patients with corneal ectasia and keratoconus can sometimes achieve optimal vision with glasses,  contact lenses and specialty contact lenses.  These patients have an irregular shape of the cornea that affects how well they see. Specialty contact lenses create a new surface for light to enter the eye and improve their vision. Here at Capistrano Eye Center, we can fit SynergEyes Hybrid Lenses to provide optimal vision and all day comfort. Call and schedule your exam today to see if it is right for you.

First floor easy access locations

Convenient locations with safe environment.   Offices are located on the first floor.  We clean and disinfect the office after every patient, and we require everyone to wear a face mask while in our office.   We limit entry to only the patient who needs to see the doctor.  However, if you feel you need to accompany the patient during the office visit, please let us know ahead of time so we could put in place the necessary social distancing safety measures on the day of the appointment.  Thank you.

How long does it take me to do cataract surgery.

Cataract surgery involves removing the cataract and putting in a lens implant. It takes me  around 10-15 minutes  for routine procedures but about an hour to prepare you for surgery. Because it includes sedation, patient should still fast and have an IV placed before surgery.  Most patients fall asleep during the procedure.
